Darren Chandler

Although his background is in web development, Darren now works part-time for Abbey Church. The remainder of the week is spent studying on the ‘Cornhill Training Course‘, run by the Proclamation Trust. He is married to Juliet and they have two young children. Darren is the latest addition to the eldership, joining in August 2007.

Roger Chilvers

Roger works with the organisation ‘Counties’ as an Evangelist and Bible Teacher. He is also Director of Church Planting Initiative, which encourages and leads in Church planting in many areas of the UK. His wife is Hazel and they have three grown children

Peter Godfrey

Peter is a retired consultant in the Petro-Chemical Industry but is now using his energies as church leader and in other Christian service. He and his wife Pat have forgotten all about retirement and use most of their time in Christian service. Their family of three have now grown.

Phil Ricketts

Phil took early retirement from the electricity industry to take up a role as Church Administrator at Hillview and the daughter church, Abbey (planted by Hillview in nearby Abbeymead). Anne and Phil have two sons who are now grown up.

David Whitaker

David is a Senior Legal Adviser working with Her Majesty’s Courts’ Service in Gloucestershire. His role is to advise lay magistrates on the law, practice and procedure in the Magistrates’ Court. He sits as an adviser in adult criminal courts, specialises in Family Law and is the Legal Adviser with particular responsibility for the Gloucestershire Family Panel. His wife is Glynis and they have two adult children.

Some of the activities are organised in conjunction with Hillview Church, Hucclecote, our partner Church which also has a full-time youth leader James Clarke co-ordinate and lead the youth work.
