Children

At Abbey we welcome children of all ages. Some of those who come are children of those who come to Church activities, others are not. All are welcome.

All our children's and young people's leaders are trained and carefully selected. As with all school teachers and others who work with children and young people elsewhere, all who work with these age groups in Abbey are CRB checked and approved.

We seek to have high standards of health and safety in all the activities with approved people always available in case someone feels upset or unwell in any way.

We always seek to be sensitive to those who come from a great variety of homes and backgrounds.

Our aims

We have three main aims for all the work amongst children:

1. We want them to have real fun in a safe and secure environment
2. We want them to learn how to grow up to have high standards of honesty, helpfulness and unselfishness.
3. We want them to learn through the Bible stories about God and Jesus so that they may decide for themselves what it means to grow up to follow Him.

If parents have any questions and concerns about work with children and young people, we welcome questions and are always delighted to talk with you about them. You are also always welcome to come and see for yourself. It’s fun!
